An introduction to the music and steps of this fascinating and fun North African dance, with additional tuition covering the costuming and history of the region.

Music Interpretation Masterclass 

What makes the dance ultimately Egyptian? Its the way we use and interpret the music that makes Egyptian style belly dance so unique. This workshop focuses on moves and music , including a look at rhythms and combinations 

Masterclasses and Private Tuition

Tracey also runs high-end technique masterclasses and private tuition on a one to one basis. Many dancers find that one to one tuition helps them to achieve more from their dance, including those wishing to become professionals. With over 15 years performance experience, Tracey can help with technique, presentation, costuming & choreography.

 

 

Manchester Dancehouse Oxford Road  Every Monday Night

A great way to get fit, get energized and have fun .Bellydance classes with Tracey 

Regular Monday night belly dance classes covering technique, musical style, choreography and more. Discover the bellydancer in you with one of the UK's foremost Egyptian bellydance teachers. The class starts with a comprehensive warm-up which leads into drills and pure technique, the first hour is ideal for beginners. With great music the class is fun and a great way to keep fit.

The second half of the class carries the technique further with step combinations, musical interpretation and choreography. Ideal for improvers and intermediate belly dancers, who wish to carry their bellydance learning to the next level.

The classes are held at Manchester Dancehouse the home of the Northern Ballet School, the dance studios have mirrors and sound system.

Directions

On Oxford Road, the Dancehouse could not be easier to find. Minutes from Manchester City Centre, close to Oxford Road train station and set on one of the most serviced bus routes in Europe.

If travelling by car there are parking meters on nearby streets, free after 6pm.  

 

What to wear

Loose comfortable clothing and if you have one, bring a scarf to wrap around your hips. Most students dance in bare feet but you can also wear ballet pumps. Classes run throughout the year except Bank Holidays, also August and if Tracey is travelling.
